F&X Electro-Materials Limited is organized as a foreign wholly owned venture, started operations in 2000, and is relatively new to the tantalum-niobium industry.

The plant is located at Yaxi Industrial Development Zone, Xinhui, Jiangmen, Guangdong, China, and is on the lower reach of the Tanjiang River; about 30km from Xinhui City, 75km from Zhuhai City, and 140km from Guangzhou. With its convenient land and water transportations, it takes about 2.5 hours by ferry to Hong Kong and only 1.5 hours to Macau by car.

Occupying a total area of 73,000 square meters, F&X has 8 production buildings plus the necessary support facilities, including a well-equipped analytical laboratory, with ICP, AAS, oxygen, carbon, and sulfur, hydrogen and nitrogen analyzers, physical and electrical property test lab, etc., 130 employees including about 30 technicians and engineers.F&X has been awarded "Guangdong Hi-Tech Enterprise" and "Rated A in Tax-Paying". Also, F&X is ISO9001:2000 certified.

F&X currently produces K-2(Potassium Fluoride Tantalum, 500mt/y), several grades of Ta2O5(100mt/y) and Nb2O5 (200mt/y) including 3N, 4N high purity oxides for optical and crystal applications, high purity Metallurgical Tantalum Powder (120mt/y), high purity Sintered-Tantalum Bar (40mt/y) for wire-drawing and alloy-making, and several grades of capacitor-grade tantalum powder (17k, 23k, 30k, 40k, 50k,70k/80k,100k+ ) (100mt/y).
